Cahuíta National Park Reserve are worldwide recognized, not only because of their natural beauty but because they are becoming unique conservation places in almost the whole Caribbean. The Cahuita National Park measures 1067 hectares, including 240 hectares of reef that extend outward from Cahuita Point. The tropical forest shelters various animals, among which are the following: pacas, racoons, Northern tamanduas, opposums, porcupines and capuchin monkeys. The marshes in the park contain many other animals, like the green iguanas, basilisks, gigantic blue crabs and many species of birds, like frigatebirds, green ibis, blue herons, gulls and others. In Cahuita you will be able to enjoy the beautiful white sand beaches. There is a camping area that includes toilets, showers and changing rooms for all those how want swim in this little paradise.

Snorkeling:
The tour starts off with a boat ride to the snorkel destination where you will enjoy hours of snorkeling the beautiful coral reef. For your safety, we have a snorkeling trail that consists of a 400 meter line with white buoys. There is a drop off where can you do some free diving. With some luck, you may even see a turtle! We provide a tasty snack of fresh fruit and beverages. Once re-energized, you have the choice to return by boat, or hike 3.5 km (1 hr 45 min) through Cahuita National Park back to Cahuita Center. This offers a wonderful opportunity to spot some of the wildlife such as iguanas, agoutis, sloths as well as parrots, toucans and a wide variety of birds. The white face monkeys are very social and may come right up to you expecting to be fed.. But be warned - it's prohibited to feed them. |
